Whataburger WhataKick Challenge at the JV Game

Maverick Stadium

Halftime of the JV game vs Cedar Ridge will feature the Whataburger WhataKick Challenge! One student or fan will be selected at random to attempt a 30-yard field goal for a chance to win a $20 Whataburger gift card. Kickoff is 5:30 PM. Visit the signup table near the home entrance beginning at 4:55 PM and enter before the end of the first quarter. The McNeil Majestics and cheer team will lead a rally-towel entrance and crowd towel wave right before the kick. Whataburger rally towels and free-burger coupons will be available while supplies last. Bring the family and fill the stands!

Senior Night: Decorate the Varsity Locker Room

McNeil High School Varsity Locker Room

Help make Senior Night special. We will decorate the senior players' lockers in the varsity locker room ahead of the Senior Night varsity game on Friday, October 9. Thursday, October 8, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, during and after the freshman game. McNeil High School varsity locker room: enter near the locker rooms on the east side of the building, and signs will direct you. Parents of seniors, feel free to bring personalized decorations for your player, like picture collages and handwritten notes. When you sign up, please add a comment with your player's name and number so we know who is coming. Cannot make it? Join the Mavs for a Spirit Night at Pok-e-Jo's Smokehouse on Parmer Lane on Wednesday, October 14, 5:00-8:00 PM. Please mention McNeil Football at the register. That is what tells them your purchase counts, and a portion of it comes back to the team. Wear your Mav shirt. If you do not have one, you can buy one there. Everyone in your party counts, so bring the whole family.

Homecoming Tunnel Stampede

Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex (home side)

Calling all future Mavericks! Elementary and middle school students who will attend McNeil High School are invited to run out of the tunnel with the team to kick off the Homecoming game vs Round Rock. The school with the most students registered takes home the Homecoming Tunnel Stampede trophy and bragging rights for the year. Feeder schools: Anderson Mill, Brushy Creek, Elsa England, Forest North, Joe Lee Johnson, Jollyville, Live Oak, Pond Springs, Purple Sage, Patsy Sommer and Wells Branch elementary, and Cedar Valley, Deerpark and Pearson Ranch middle. Registration is $10 plus Eventbrite fees and closes Wednesday, October 21. It includes the participant's t-shirt and a game ticket. Parent game tickets are NOT included; buy them in advance from Round Rock ISD Athletics. Every child who wants a t-shirt needs to register, even if they do not plan to run. Participants arrive at 6:00 PM at the Tunnel Stampede check-in by the HOME side ticket booth, at the stadium entrance off the main parking lot, to pick up their t-shirt and a wristband. At 6:30 PM JV players group them by grade and walk them to the tunnel, and the Stampede runs at 6:40 PM. Parents drop off and sit in the Tunnel Stampede bleachers on the HOME side, then pick up their student on the walkway at that same end of the field after the trophy presentation, where booster club members match wristbands. Feeder school families can gather beforehand in the Feeder School Tailgate Area in the main parking lot. Questions: boosters@mcneilmavericks.org.
